Caco Vidal (Felipe Braun) es viudo y padre de 3 hijos. Jamás amó tanto a una mujer como su esposa. Tras su muerte, él se enfocó en sus negocios transformarse en un magnate de las comunicaciones. Hasta ahora, que se enteró que tiene una enfermedad terminal que le arrebatará la vida en un plazo máximo de un año.

Este remezón emocional hará cambiar su vida para siempre y comenzará poco a poco a cumplir una lista de deseos, siendo el más importante de éstos el cómo preparar a sus hijos para quedar huérfanos.

En medio de esta tragedia personal, Caco conoce a Pachi (Antonia Zegers), madre esforzada y una bella mujer, dueña de un restaurant en el Cajón del Maipo y que acaba de sufrir, una vez más, la infidelidad de Rafa (Ricardo Fernández), su marido.

Pachi reúne todas las condiciones de buena madre que Caco espera para sus hijos, además de sentir cuando está a su lado que puede volver a amar a otra mujer, tanto como amó a su esposa, pero ¿Estará Pachi dispuesta a abrir nuevamente su corazón, más aún cuando su ex marido y padre de sus hijos, insista en recuperarla?
